  1. I am looking for burial records for cemeteries in McEwensville PA. Is there a Presbyterian church cemetery there?

    Thank you

    • Depending how old the record you are searching for, you may want to try contacting the Warrior Run/Fort Freeland Historical Society. The only Presbyterian Church that I am aware of in that area is the Warrior Run Presbyterian Church and they have the original cemetery still located there. The church is a historical building now. The web site is: as far as I know there was not a Presbyterian Church in McEwensville, but I could be wrong and the historical society should be able to help you. Good luck! Patty

  2. Thank you. I will keep trying !

  3. I am 78 years old and unable to be too active. I have been knitting hats for the past several months and have sent some to NJ for distribution to homeless people. I have a batch here now that I’d like to see distributed to people with needs in this area. I live in Elysburg and would be glad to mail what I have to an appropriate organized group who would be responsible enough to get these hats to people who need them. I use only quality yarns, so I can assure the hats are nice. Can you help by suggesting a way to get these hats to a few needy souls who can use them, please? I have hats that are appropriate for men, women, young children, and babies.
Thanks for any suggestions you care to share with me.

I am looking for the records of the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church in the early 1900’s. My grandfather, Robert Pollock Howie, was minister there and my mother, Roberta Elizabeth Howie, was born in the parsonage next door on February 6, 1915. I have a photograph from my mother’s things that shows the stone church and the wood frame parsonage beside it. Online I found a modern photograph of the church but the parsonage is gone. I have been told that the church is no longer there, either.

I am trying to learn of the dates during which my grandfather was the minister and any other information about the family such as births or christenings.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
