The Committee on Ministry recommends that Presbyterian Clergy officiate at all services of Baptism and Communion and at Congregational Meetings. Exceptions are sometimes granted after consultation with the Committee on Ministry.

$135.00, plus mileage @ .35 per mile for churches over 100 in membership.
$100.00 plus mileage @ .35 per mile for churches under 100 membership
If the preacher has to travel more than 50 miles round trip, capped at $150.00
Multiple preaching, same day
$150.00, plus mileage @$0.35 per mile, for churches over 100 in membership.
$115.00, plus mileage @$0.35 per mile, for churches under 100 in membership.
If the preacher has to travel more than 50 miles round trip, capped at $165.00
Note: It is the expectation that the Pulpit Supply perform more ministries for the congregation than delivering a sermon. As circumstances warrant, the Pulpit Supply may be invited to teach Sunday School, visit persons in special circumstance and need, or conduct private communion for shut-insaccompanied by an Elder or Deacon.
Note: Churches with special needs, which are unable to meet these costs may apply to the Committee on Ministry for supplementary funds. These policies shall also serve as guidelines of pulpit supplies in Churches with a called pastor.
Note: These compensations do not apply to contracted Temporary Supply positions, which are negotiated between the Session and the pastor in consultation with the COM.
